Miko, LLC constructed a remote communications equipment shelter on Pinal Peak, including structural, roofing, and finish components, specifically tailored to meet technical needs in an off-grid, mountainous environment.
Scope Highlights:
- Permit acquisition and full-site excavation for stem walls and footings
- Installation of monolithic slab foundation and generator pad with rebar reinforcement
- Masonry construction of 8x8x16 CMU block walls
- Roof framing, gable end siding, and fascia installation
- Peel-and-stick metal roof underlayment (roof install by others)
- Structural steel: Revised steel post supports and new ice bridge supports
- Door installation (4070 hollow core metal door) and small roof cover at entry
- Full exterior/interior painting using Sherwin-Williams systems
- Final cleanup, site mobilization, and material haul-off
This project required logistical precision, durable materials, and clear coordination with site-specific constraints to deliver a secure and functional shelter for mission-critical infrastructure.
